The Klang Special School that was built in 1989 needed repairs especially the right wing involving the walls, corridor, floor and drains. The Association after consulting the JKR (Bahagian Forensik-Struktur dan Jambatan) Cawangan Kejuruteraan Awam, Struktur dan Jambatan, Ibu Pejabat JKR Malaysia and upon receiving a full report decided to close the right wing temporarily. After several months looking for sponsors, AXIS REIT Managers Berhad came forward to repair and renovate the right wing consisting of 5 classrooms. The total cost of renovation was RM 98,000/-.
On 16th January 2014, in honour of the sponsor’s effort, Y.Bhg. Dato’ Stewart LaBrooy was invited to officiate the re-opening of the renovated right wing of the Klang Special School. The Deputy President, En. Baharuddin bin Abu Kassim, and Mrs. Peggy Loh represented the Association at this ceremony.
