Dear
SAMH CHARITY HI-TEA 2017 IN AID OF THE MENTALLY HANDICAPPED
The Selangor and Federal Territory Association For The Mentally Handicapped (SAMH) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that serves the needs of 300 mentally handicapped children and adults in its 3 special schools and centres in the Klang Valley. Its primary aim is to provide education and training to mentally handicapped children and adults to the fullest extent possible. However, maintaining all the 3 special schools and 63 staff, including 39 teachers, requires a sum close to RM2.2 million annually. At the moment, part of our operating budget is covered by the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development. The remaining expenses are funded through the generous financial contributions of the public and private sectors. However, since the last few years, government funding to NGO’s has been on a downward trend and has impacted SAMH. SAMH is organizing a Fund Raising Project:-
